Hays are recruiting for a Production Support Administrator for an established company based near Newport.

Your new role

This role will be reporting to the Materials Manager and assisting the Production Manager this role is based on the shop floor and is responsible for providing full support to the production function on shift. The role is responsible for entering key information onto the computer system and ensuring that all information is up to date and accurate. The role is working in a fast-paced production environment therefore accurate data entry skills and attention to details is a prerequisite along with an ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines. Working hours will follow a continental shift pattern 4 on / 4 off - 6am - 6pm (Days) / 6pm - 6am (Nights). The role will be contracted to work 42 hours per week.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience and an understanding of working within a production environment is essential.
  • Good data entry skills and experience using IT systems is required.
  • Well-organised with efficient working methods.
  • Friendly, polite and self-motivated with an ability to deal with difficult clients or customers
