An established and highly reputable manufacturer and supplier of fine and gourmet foods.

Reporting to the Operations Manager

Key duties:

Shares responsibility with the Operations Manager for retrieving customer orders through EDI.
Prepares estimated weekly orders for customers where applicable and liaises with the Sales team for planning weekly production.
Liaise with the Franchise and other customers to plan production of goods.
Liaises with the Warehouse to ensure that adequate packaging stocks are held in stock to meet orders.
Plans staff to ensure that there is adequate number of staff in a shift.
Maintain the documented system and ensures that staff are aware of the same.
Liaises with the Engineering Department as regards maintenance and repairs to Operations equipment.
Maintains adequate stock of all operating supplies as required.
Oversee logistics department and printing of labels
Sound understanding of all Health and Safety, Food and Hygiene policies
Any other reasonable work that is required to be carried out for the smooth functioning of the department or the company.

Knowledge and Experience

Sound understanding of documented policies and procedures
Thorough knowledge of company products
Working knowledge of Food and Hygiene polices
Awareness of Health and Safety procedures
Understand Quality Management
Ability to work as part of a team and to work on own initiative
Planning and Organising
Self development and continuing personal development
