Role- Production Supervisor

Salary- £24,000- £28,000 per annum (please advise what you would be looking for)

Type- Permanent

Location- Buckinghamshire

My engineering client designs and manufactures a range of products, and they are looking to take on a Production Supervisor to work within a team of 14 on the shop floor, on a permanent basis, in the Buckinghamshire area.

The Production Supervisor will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Qualification in Engineering / Manufacturing / Production / Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous mechanical assembly line experience in a production/ manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervisory experience within a similar engineering company looking after a small team
  • SME experience
  • Confident character and assertive to lead by example
  • Quality process and control orientated
  • Previous experience of working in a ISO9001 environment would be desirable
  • Previous ERP or MRP system experience
  • Excellent communications skills

The Production Supervisor role will involve:

  • Leading a team of Production Operatives (12/14)
  • Ensuring products are manufactured and also assembled in line with ISO9001 quality standards
  • Making sure that production schedules are maintained
  • Being hands on working on the shop floor overseeing day to day activities
  • Leading from the front and motivating staff
  • Liaising with colleagues in production control, quality and engineering
  • Performing visual inspections of goods throughout the assembly and manufacturing process
  • Assisting in the introduction of new work methods
