The role will manage safe operations on a busy Operational Site handling Acids and Alkali liquids. Based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire and reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a key position in the site strategy.

As part of the site management team working a rotating 2 weekly pattern of 06:00 - 14:30 and 09:30 - 18:00, Monday - Friday with occasional weekend working when required.

The Production Shift Manager Role:

The role will involve varied duties focused on Operational excellence and environmental Health and Safety compliance. Working closely with the Operations Manager, Shift Managers on site you will support improvement projects and ensure high standards are maintained whilst building strong working relationships with other key stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

During a period of training and orientation, the successful candidate will need to build the trust and respect of the site managers, colleagues and their team. Once established, using prior and newly obtained experience, skills and knowledge, he or she will be expected to:

+ Manage production blending, packing and filling activities
+ Take an active role in emergency preparedness and response
+ Control contractor activity using SSOW
+ Participate external/internal audits and regulatory inspections
+ Communicate well with everyone in the organisational structure
+ Lead and manage your team
+ Exercise prudent cost control and thorough KPI monitoring and lean principles
+ Execute accident and incident investigations to company standards.
+ Uphold high standards of 5s Auditing and general housekeeping
+ Contribute to site improvement actions
+ Develop, empower and lead direct and indirect reports
+ Participate in and/or lead monthly EHS meetings
