Production Planner

One of the largest global FMCG organisations is seeking to appoint an experienced Production Planner. As Production Planner you will ultimately be responsible for ensuring that the production plan is in place to meet customers’ orders in the most efficient manner. Salary circa £25,000 to £30,000 per annum depending upon experience plus competitive benefits package. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8am until 4pm.

Reporting directly to the Material Supply Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

·Responsibility for planning production of designated assets

·Hold weekly review with customer to align demand and production plan

·Develop best practice and continuously improve ways of working including the development of reporting tools

·Manage MRP messages generated by Oracle based ERP system

·Raise production works orders from system in line with demand and sequence in most efficient, economic and profitable way in line with customer demand

·Keep product families table updated by production asset

·Plan production trials in line with sales / customer requirement

·Create daily shortages sheet and share with Materials Control to ensure that materials are called back from storage in a timely manner

·Have an active role in transition process to ensure that orders are amended in line with change avoiding / reducing potential write off costs

·Attend daily production meetings

To be successful in the role of Production Planner, you may have previously worked as a Demand Planner, Production Coordinator, Production Scheduler, Production Analyst, Materials Planner, Materials Analyst, Supply Chain Coordinator or Supply Chain Planner and you will possess the following qualities:

·Solid supply chain background

·Experience of working within an FMCG environment

·End to end demand planning or production planning experience along with dealing directly with a customer would be highly advantageous

·Ability to use an ERP system with advanced Microsoft Excel skills

·Highly analytical with the ability to deal with complex and detailed data

·Extremely organised in app
