Production Planner

My Client is looking for an experienced Production Planner to join their successful organisation based in Orpington. They manufacture reliable research & industrial instruments for the UK and worldwide distribution markets.

The successful Production Planner will be offered the opportunity to become part of the team and enjoy a great atmosphere to work in & in addition they are offering:

  • A basic salary up to £30,000
  • Holiday: 33 days (rising to 35) all stats included
  • Contributory Pension 7% - company match up to 9%
  • Monday - Thursday 8.30 am - 4.30pm , early finish Fridays 8am - 1pm

As an experienced Production Planner it is essential that you have worked in an automated MRP function and in addition have at least 3 years' experience in a lean manufacturing/assembling environment with a small to medium sized company.

You will report into the Supply Chain Manger and work closely with the production /sales teams therefore it is important that you are strong communicator and have the ability to prioritise your workload in a very demanding environment.

Your daily duties will include:

  • Production forecasting
  • Focusing on process improvements & reducing lead times
  • Supporting the supply chain and buying function
