An excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing manufacturing company based in Coventry by Junction 2 M6. You will work closely with the Head of Operations to help plan and schedule all production for customer specific projects
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
*Reviews and becomes familiar with all drawings, specifications, and other documents concerning assigned projects.
*Open appropriate work packages to evaluate job costs, and determines the optimal lot size and acceptance test requirements commensurate with customer requirement dates and component parts delivery schedules.
*Coordinates with appropriate departments and personnel to fulfill all client orders
*Determine project material requirements and current inventory status of component parts to ensure all materials are available to achieve client's delivery dates.
*Placing PO's and monitoring the status of materials by maintaining inventory logs for piece parts and finished goods.
*Writes or reviews manufacturing procedures and related documents to support continued ISO accreditation.
*Compile and prepare material requirement orders for inventory; issue requisitions for new and special materials, sub-contracting of parts, etc.
*Revise and reschedule orders to compensate priority orders, material shortages, vendors' failure to deliver or customer cancellations.
*Establish manufacturing lead times on regular orders to meet delivery dates for new orders. Prepares and distributes master program and schedules.
*Coordinates resolution of manufacturing problems and revises schedules when necessary advising sales, shipping and operations.
*Liaise with the assigned QA and engineers for accomplishment of all outside and in-house testing of hardware.
*Summarizes labor hours and material costs on each job to prepare workforce projections and budget estimates in order to meet accounting requirements.
*Determines product packaging and shipping requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
*Good standard of education including O'level or GCSE Maths and English
*Relevant industry/technical experience.
*SAP experience preferred
*2 or more years in production planning, Scheduling
*Good Knowledge of Purchasing and vendor management
*Good communication skills at all levels
