Seeking a skilled and time served Production Planner to join the UK`s largest and most successful commercial vehicle manufacturer, located in Worcestershire. This vacancy has come about due to the expansion and continued growth of the business, so there has never been a better time to join.
As Production Planner your main role will be to plan and prepare production schedules for the manufacture of commercial recovery vehicles, drawing up a master schedule to establish sequence and lead time for each vehicle build to meet customer delivery dates.
Working closely with the Managing Director and the sales team to scope out the production schedule, you will plan the workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing hours/sequences and lead times.
You will issue the plan to the shop floor briefing Team Leaders & production workers, work with Team Leaders to determine that the plan on is on schedule and troubleshoot on their behalf when required.
This job means you will actively be part of the ordering process and be aware of any anomalies that could affect the build schedule, as well as foresee any delays that may have an effect on the build schedule, make alterations to meet unforeseen circumstances, prepare weekly production reports and attend the weekly production meeting.
It is essential you possess a clear understanding of production processes, you are highly organised and can work well in pressurised and busy working environments.
This position would suit a candidate that has previous hands on engineering experience looking for a move off the shop floor and into a more senior, operational position.
