Production Operative

My client, a technology based, document management consultancy provide various services to a wide range of customers such as commercial organisations, the NHS and local Government.

This is an opportunity for a production orientated candidate to join a company that can provide a rewarding career.

Located 1 mile from junction 17 of the M5 my client's premises provide full air conditioning, free parking, all work wear and safety footwear and a newly refurbished canteen with free beverages.

This is a non smoking site.

The Role

Working alongside your operational teammates, you will be involved in all aspects of production activities. You will be working in a safe manner to high quality standards, achieving required productivity targets, all within the framework of our operating procedures. This includes, operating and minding machinery such as CMC Machines (not CNC). Manually filling envelopes to a fast but controlled pace to achieve targets.

The Candidate

It is essential that you possess:

  • a good standard of verbal communication, literacy and numeracy
  • a team ethic
  • a can-do attitude
  • a logical approach
  • the self-confidence and ability to recognise issues and escalate accordingly
  • the ability to carry out your duties at a brisk, controlled pace whilst maintaining accuracy
  • the ability to maintain extended periods of concentration

It is desirable (but not essential) that you have:

  • Previous experience of working in a fast paced production environment

Starting Salary:£20,837pa with attractive overtime rates. Salary grading structure; as you become more experienced your salary will rise to reflect this. Generous company pension scheme.

Hours: 1300-2200 Monday to Friday.

My client offer a full 12 week training programme.
