Production Operative with FLT Certificate

Our client is a technology leader in the manufacture of high quality materials and advanced components. We are looking to recruit machine operators to support their process operators & technicians in maintaining shift-to-shift continuity and day to day performance.

  • You would be flexible to work shifts which could include 3 Shift & Continuous Continental shift

  • Rates of pay £9.74 (3 shift)

    £12.12 (Continuous)

The work is physically demanding and sometimes carried out on a high-level, safe platform and would include:

  • Supply, monitoring, removal of materials and following correct standard operating systems.

  • Support with the removal of Ingot and re-setting of carriages during cutting.

  • Support the manufacture of furnace brickwork and die preparation; use of cutting, drilling, grinding and profiling machines.

  • Support the process of dismantling and re-building furnace sites.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and cleaning of critical machines and areas and carry out routine checks on key equipment & processes.

  • Prepare material for machining and removal of waste

  • Carry out tasks relating to the processing and packing finished goods.

  • An FLT CB certificate is required as you’ll need to move your own product, however this is a small part of the role.

  • Experience of operating machines, rotating equipment and hand tools is essential

Adhering to Health and Safety guidelines, with the ability to work in noisy and hot environments.

Due to the nature of the work and a good attention to detail is required along with the ability to adapt to new skills & processes.
