Some information on the role…

The Production/Materials Planner will be a key part of the team, liaising with purchasing, customer service, sales and production teams. You will be heavily involved in forecasting, planning and scheduling as well as ensuring the correct materials and factory capacity are in place to fulfil orders.

As Production/Materials Planner you will work closely with the customer service and sales teams to ensure customers are informed and their expectations are managed.

As Production Materials Planner you will be primarily responsible for the creation of forecasting tools, demand planning, liaising with production and purchasing regarding upcoming production, sales operation planning, ensuring capacity in the factory is booked and allocated. Strong relationship building, organisational, planning, forecasting and scheduling skills are a must.

Our client is committed to On Time In Full deliveries so the successful Production/Materials Planner would need to be used to meeting targets and KPIs and adhering to strict deadlines.

What kind of person and background are we looking for?

As a Production/Materials Planner you will need 10 years’ experience in a production environment as well as experience in production planning and forecasting systems and tools and confident Excel skills.

The successful Production/Materials Planner will need excellent communication skills to bring all departments together to meet tight deadlines and fulfil customer expectations. Candidates with experience as a planner or scheduler within production or inventory within a fast paced environment would be ideally suited to this role.

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director in conjunction with purchasing you will have the freedom to bring your expertise to the table and influence positive changes in a growing and exciting environment.

What’s in it for you?

Basic salary for the Sales Operational Planner is up to £40,000, depending on experience. You will also benefit from 24 days holidays plus bank holidays and a personal laptop and phone.
