Outline:

Are you an experienced Production Manager looking to further your career with an exciting and well known logistics company? If so, we have a position available which may be of interest to you.

The working hours are 8am-5pm on Monday to Friday (hours may vary) and the salary is £35,000-£55,000, depending on skillset and experience. There is also a potential to earn benefits and bonuses.

The Job Role:

  • You will be responsible for the overall organisation, management direction and control of all factory functional departments to ensure that production is maintained to a high standard
  • To also organise and control all production within the factory to achieve all output targets in terms of quantity, quality, build targets, costs, and customer requirements/satisfaction
  • Schedule and coordinate all aspect of production operations, to ensure that output and quality & delivery targets are achieved.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to understand build instructions and customer requirements
  • Liaise with the Drawing Office to ensure the shop floor are fed with the correct drawings and in a timely manner
  • Any modification to drawings to be fed back to the Drawing Office and amendments made for subsequent builds
  • Review with key production Team Leaders and management on a weekly basis progress on build, times, job progress, any issues requiring action, materials and parts resources
  • Develop, manage and distribute the production schedule
  • Work with appropriate personnel as daily plans unfold to inform them of jobs that are behind schedule, and possible schedule conflicts
  • React quickly to constant change of job priorities and rearrange the schedule to reflect the changes
  • Advise on completion dates of all jobs and liaise with the relevant sections
  • Ownership and subsequent resolution of problems, highlighting any issues to management even if the problem has been resolved
  • Completion of relevant administration in a timely manner, ensuring that all appropriate supporting documentation in the production process
  • Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that plant and equipment is effectively maintained to ensure maximum production efficiency
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers, suppliers and the workforce to ensure that the right skills are utilised in the correct place
  • Develop and implement both short and long-term plans to ensure that the factory has the necessary resources to meet business objectives and deliver vehicles on time

Experience / Requirements:

  • Prior manufacturing experience is crucial with at least 10 years' experience
  • Good IT and communication skills
  • A high sense of urgency, the ability to multi-task and a hands on approach
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and retain large variety of tasks and information
  • To be able to successfully work with a large range of personnel
