Full time

Oswestry, commutable from Wrexham, Shrewsbury

£45,000 +, 25 days holiday + pension

The Role

Production Manager required to manage and develop factory production activities in order to optimise results. A skills base developed in a senior managerial role within a manufacturing, engineering production environment will be essential for this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, monitor and manage a variety of departments involved in production, quality, warehousing; implementing improvements as necessary.

  • Leading and managing teams across the factory in order to achieve optimum results.

  • Support the teams in achieving daily, weekly and monthly targets in the areas of Volume, Cost, Quality and Safety.

  • Minimise waste

  • Ensure all production targets are achieved

  • Lead / facilitate problem solving and improving groups and initiatives, drive continuous improvement methodologies and culture throughout. Ensure standard operating procedures and process controls are implemented.

  • Active communication across the factory to ensure the best utilisation of resources.


The successfully appointed Production Manager will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Experience gained in a senior managerial role within a manufacturing, engineering production environment essential.

  • An articulate person of integrity, possessing excellent business acumen and problem solving skills with the ability to lead by example.

  • Knowledge of business and management principles.

  • Ability to make decisions and see the bigger picture.

  • Excellent man management skills and ability to get the best out of a team.

Fully computer literate

The Package

  • £45,000 + per annum

  • Hours of work: 39 hours Monday - Friday

  • 25 days holiday
