Production Manager

My client from the manufacturing industry is looking to recruit a production manager on a full time permanent basis.

The overall purpose of the position is the management of a large production team and to ensure that customer orders are met in line with customer need.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- motivatinh, training, reviewing, disciplining and recruiting production staff
- ensuring reasonable deadlines and targets are met
- maxamising the use of labour and resources to ensure efficiency and economy
- improving quality and productivity
- following and enforcing company processes
- liaison across departments
- measurement and reporting of machine efficiencies
- managing departmental finances and expenditure

The successful candidate will:
- have experience within a managerial/supervisory role
- have experience of the manufacturing industry
- have an understanding of production equipment
- be an effective problem solver
- have strong IT skills
- be quick to pick up new skills and processes
- have effective managerial skills
- be a strong team player
- have great cmunication skills
