PRODUCTION MANAGER - FMCG / FOOD:

I'm looking to recruit a Production Manager to join a market leading company who supply into the FMCG sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Production Manager to manage all production related activities.

THE ROLE: As a Production Manager you will be required to:

  • Manage all production processes
  • Ensure production have the necessary raw materials to manufacture products
  • Data analysis - to aid the decision making process for the supply of raw materials, demand of finished goods and reporting of key performance indicators
  • Produce Master Production Schedules and prioritise workflow ensuring optimum production
  • Ensure on time delivery in full
  • Monitor output, quality, cost and health & safety ensuring KPI's have been met
  • Getting the best out of staff and identifying training needs
  • Ensure that assigned section activities are conducted in accordance to company procedures and standards ensuring high quality output
  • Lead continuous improvement activities and support initiatives to improve efficiencies
  • Improve maintenance and service of equipment
  • Check the quality of components manufactured through inspection and report any non-conformances
  • Working closely with departmental managers to improve overall output

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal Production Manager will have:

  • Previously worked in a mixing process (big batch) environment or FMCG/Food
  • Proven track record of ensuring products are manufactured at the right cost and level of quality
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Knowledge of process mapping and Six Sigma (beneficial)
  • A dynamic personality with the attitude to always do better
  • Ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels
