Working Hours: 39 hours a week, finish at 1pm on Fridays
Salary: Paying up to £28,000 depending on experience
This candidate will be reporting to the Operations Director and working closely with the Production Manager, Sales Team, Supply Chain and lean initiatives to maintain the Kanban supported components in a robust manner in parallel to total production business activities.
-Ensure that work orders are created and continually managed to fully satisfy the requirements of all Kanban associated Sales Orders in conjunction with the Kanban trigger points and budgeted Sales Output for the month.
-Issue purchase orders to cover 3rd party and subcontract activities to support and maintain the on-time production flow process.
-Identification of bottlenecks and capacity constraints and proactively work with others to resolve any issues.
-Control of WIP and Finished Goods stocks within the Kanban flow process and report the finished goods inventory on a monthly basis to set targets
-Monitor the delivery of product through the goods in / out department in support of on time in full delivery to customers by the required date.
Skills and Experience:
-Must have experience within lean manufacturing and knowledge of Kanban system
-Experience of working in a fast pace and time costly environment
-Highly proactive and hands on
-Excellent communication and coordination skills
