The successful Production Engineer must be comfortable working in a challenging multi-disciplinary environment as part of a small team. The role will be to provide the bridge between the client and the Sales, Purchasing and NPI departments, managing contracts from the initial enquiry stage through to production.
Understand circuits to component level and to use this knowledge to solve issues on new and existing designs, to both make improvements and address possible component obsolescence. Recommend alternative components and gain approval from clients and maintain documentation subsequently.
Support clients with current product designs and review manufacturing methods with our approved CEMs.
Provide the technical manufacturing support to Customer Service team to control all Production Pack documentation from initial enquiry through to production.
Carry out visits with the Sales Team to both clients and CEMs.
Provide support to the company to help resolve technical and non-conformance issues
Assist clients with the DFM process to ensure a smooth transition of products from design to production.
