An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Engineer to join one of our clients growing team; we are seeking a highly motivated individual ideally from theF1, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Microwave, Medical or other high precision CNC machining industry, as the Production Engineer you will be required to assist with daily production and workshop activities. This is very much a hands-on role and the ability to plan, program and implement and set jobs on Fanuc / ISO based controlled machines is essential. You will also be require to model components and design fixtures using Catia V5.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and the ability to solve production problems on complex components.
Duties will include but not limited to;
Constructing and proving-out CNC programmes off-line and on-line. The Ability to program both Driven tooling Y, C axis Lathes and /or Machining Centres in up to 5 axis would be advantageous.
Design and commissioning of fixtures and tooling as necessary for production.
Train and assist operating staff as required.
Assist with the management and plan production planning based upon priorities.
The ideal candidate will be;
Have experience of manufacturing precision parts to very tight tolerances on modern CNC machines and in difficult to machine materials.
An in depth knowledge of CNC programming techniques, CAD / CAM, production fixturing and production tooling design.
Ideally have experience of both Turning & Milling.
Must be seeking a hands-on role.
Knowledge of CMM machines would be an advantage.
Working within an ISO 9001 regulated quality control environment i.e. Aerospace, Medical etc.,
Hold a relevant qualification in Mechanical and / or Production Engineering; however candidates who have considerable experience are also encouraged to apply.
