This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving and very successful business in the Leeds area. Your job purpose will be to support the Sales and Marketing team in order to plan and successfully launch new lines as well as help organise their current business and keep it running smoothly. It is a very varied and dynamic role working in a small friendly team where no two weeks are the same.
Due to the requirements of this role please note that our client requires a candidate who drives and has their own transport.
On a day to day basis your role will involve:
Working with the team on product launches which involves setting up product costing sheets, putting information on to Sage, following the product status through the business and organising whatever information is needed so that other departments have everything that they need for launch. This is the main focus of the role and interacts with several different departments in the business.
Maintaining weekly retail sales information from customer downloads together with forecast and stock information and preparing in an Excel format for the wider business as well as maintaining certain areas of the company intranet.
Managing packaging designs from artwork through to print stage by tracking amends and approvals with creative agencies, customers and printers.
Building relationships internally, externally and with customer teams and external contacts as part of managing the process to launch.
For the right candidate there is lots of scope for further development in a number of areas including taking on individual projects, being involved in the creative development of artwork and packaging, working directly with customers on their launches, website/social media, and getting involved with the factory team on joint initiatives.
The key skills and experience required for this role are:
A team orientated individual with a positive attitude and work ethic.
Excel to an advanced level - including VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, etc and a logical approach to maintaining and using information.
Ability to adapt to/learn different computer systems (which will include SAGE 200), with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Someone who genuinely enjoys variety and working as part of a team in what can be a fast-paced environment. Priorities can change and being able to multi-task and thrive with a bit of pressure is important, as is a logical approach to problem solving and being able to prioritise personal workload.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to deal with people both internally and externally.
Experience could be from a variety of backgrounds including but not limited to:- sales support, product management, packaging, administration, manufacturing and finance.
Experience of working with product ranges, either brands or retailer brands would be an advantage but not essential.
This role is Monday to Friday, 37½ per week, 9.00-5.30pm. Our client offers a pension scheme, free parking and refreshments and the chance to work in a very friendly and thriving environment. Potential start date of end of May/early June.
