Product Quality Improvement Engineer

Our client, a well-established manufacturer based in Bradford, seek to appoint a Product Quality Improvement Engineer who has held a Quality Engineer post with a wide / varied remit. This is a role with varied responsibilities covering all aspects of quality engineering. You will need a good eye for detail for paperwork and audits, be able to maintain robust ISO9001 accredited quality systems, and work with end users (a wide customer base) suppliers (lots, and all different) and internal staff to ensure quality is at the forefront of the company's focus. The appointed Product Quality Improvement Engineer will implement engineering process improvements throughout the rest of the company through identifying and then eliminating procedural defects within current quality processes. Product Quality Improvement Engineer - Skills and Experience - Quality Manager / Quality Engineer / Technical / Manufacturing / ISO9001 / Audits / Supplier Quality / Customers / Machinery / Mechanical Engineering

* A mechanical engineering degree (or equivalent) with at least three years post qualification work experience within a quality focused role
* A wide remit covering multiple aspects of quality engineering: Audits, Supplier Quality, Customer Liaison, ISO9001, Manufacturing Processes, etc
* Support the Quality Manager to complete assigned projects throughout their lifecycle and maintain / re-inforce improvements until they become standard practice
* Liaise with Quality Manager to ensure projects are completing on time and to the appropriate quality standards, supporting New Product Development
* Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma methodology essential
* The ability to review drawings would be advantageous
* A genuine passion for engineering is needed and an enthusiasm for driving change
