My client is a leading globally operating fund manager. This is a Director level role managing a team of Production Managers located around the globe who create and manage a master suite of product marketing materials. The role reports to the Global Head of Product Marketing.

They are looking for someone to manage the production team sitting within the global product marketing group. The team is responsible for ongoing production and maintenance of core and custom product marketing collateral (various end outputs), master messaging elements and digital assets according to a quarterly production cycle. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards in quality and timely delivery to market. You will develop, project manage and implement process efficiencies and technological automations, with the goal of greater speed to market and ability to add scope. You will work closely with senior business partners across the organisation to understand requirements and develop/implement a strategic and consistent firm-wide approach to production, including content updates and data maintenance, traffic management and quality control. Working in a highly collaborative fashion, you will interact closely with Product Marketers, Product Specialists, Content, Channel Marketing and Distribution personnel. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced culture and has the ability to manage a production function driven by quarter-end deadlines, business demands and data-delivery timelines. You should have a solid understanding of the market and investment products in general, as well as classic marketing matter such as brand, promotion and distribution channels. The role will support various global institutional and intermediary businesses.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team of Production Managers located in both London and international offices, each with their own product coverage assignments
  • Act as team lead in strategic projects, such as coordinating production schedules and process enhancements, by liaising with the global product management and marketing leadership group, channel marketing, IT, compliance and data teams
  • Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all materials from a product, audience and regulatory perspective
  • Possess and grow knowledge of industry and company product information to determine which data is most appropriate for usage
  • Perform comprehensive quality reviews of all data and content for accuracy, relevancy and consistency, as well as adherence to style guidelines, regulatory requirements and client expectations
  • Oversee the management of the "golden source" record library (or Master Strategy Guide) for all investment strategies and liaise with SMEs (subject matter experts) across all areas of the organization (product, legal, operations, investments, IT, etc.) to validate and update standard marketing component content
  • Coordinate and communicate product change management duties by asking appropriate follow-up questions and recognizing the implications of changes across multiple records and/or resources
  • Partner with compliance to input product change details into a quarterly document and deliver in meetings to inform multiple marketing stakeholders of necessary changes and updates
  • Share content through good communication, internet and intranet websites, and other tools and processes
  • Partner effectively with internal business partners including, but not limited to,
  • Distribution, Product Management and Marketing, Channel Marketing,
  • Design, Web, Compliance, Investments and Fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with vendors for production and print needs
  • Adhere to production and file retention processes in order to maintain accurate recordkeeping of electronic files in accordance with department and regulatory requirements and to ensure the appropriate tracking of all key project milestones
  • Facilitate projects, as well as research and resolve potential challenges in an effort to ensure continuous efficiency gains and improved accuracy
  • Proactively engage in opportunities to enhance knowledge regarding product set, the market, business requirements and client expectations
  • You will plan, allocate, monitor work and make decisions regarding employment, performance appraisal, training, salary adjustments and related personnel actions.

The role requires:

  • Strong project management capability
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with the financial marketplace and distribution process
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of and ability to interpret and chart financial data
  • Strong analytical skillsaand attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of industry compliance requirements
  • Strong computer skills including MS PPT, Word and Excel
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience with proofreading, fact checking and an editorial eye
  • Broad knowledge of graphic issues, art direction, print production and project management affecting printing, quality and on time delivery
  • Demonstrate understanding of page layouts and style standards
  • Previous marketing experience within the financial services industry required alongside experience managing direct reports
  • Significant experience with product-specific data such as performance, returns-based and holdings-based characteristics preferred
