Our client is recruiting for an inquisitive and experienced scientific Business Development Manager or Marketing Manager to become the Vertical Marketing Manager for their sample handling products.
Liaising across all departments; R&D, engineering, testing and sales, you will be responsible for designing, developing and continually reassessing the business growth strategy for the company’s sample handling products. This will be done by staying up-to-date with current market trends, new technologies, competitor activity and gaining feedback from customers.
The ideal candidate will possess both a commercial and analytical science background. Scientific commercial experience is essential and the company will consider a variety of backgrounds such as Business Development, Senior/Key Account Manager or Marketing as a key part of this role will involve a high level of networking, effective relationship building and the ability to identify new opportunities. Hands-on experience or good theoretical knowledge relating to GC, GC/MS and sample introduction techniques, such as headspace or thermal desorption, would be distinctly advantageous.
All candidates must have a high level of self-motivation, in addition to excellent organisation and communication skills.
