Product Development Engineer - Optoelectronics - Norfolk - MDO/RC24

Salary/ Benefits: Up to £40k DOE

Job Outline:

My client, a global provider of microelectronic products, is currently searching for an Optoelectronics Product Development Engineer to join their expanding team.

Reporting to the Technology Development Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for defining, designing and developing Optoelectronic products for harsh environment applications.

Duties include, the defining and development of manufacturing processes, testing systems and optical fibre interconnects.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the manufacturing of prototype products as well as performing the verification testing of prototypes.

The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to transfer products from NPI (New Product Introduction) to manufacture.

This opportunity is perfect for those with an inquisitive mindset and demonstrable industry experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, as well as demonstrable industry experience. Candidates should have a strong Electronics and Optoelectronics manufacturing and design engineering background, as well as a working knowledge of AutoCAD/Solid Works software.

Additional Information:

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK.
