The Enterprise Hub will be the European home of functions that deliver the selection and purchasing of products, inventory management, collaboration with suppliers and all of their online marketing and sales websites. Your new role
In a relatively traditional industry, Distrelec are establishing an Enterprise Hub within the UK with a modern and unique approach to how they do business with their suppliers and customers.
Your role as Product Data Governance Specialist will give you full responsibility for defining, implementing, controlling, maintaining and enhancing the company wide data management guidelines and policies for all published product data. This will involve defining and cultivating an overall, channel neutral, data governance strategy, being responsible for the publication system data quality and also owning the product taxonomy. Monitoring competitor and industry leaders to ensure data quality, content and processes are truly best in class and delivering customer value will mean that your contribution really does count.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally degree (or equivalent) educated in electrical or electronic engineering, you will have a good understanding of web based data structuring and data standardisation management processes and tools. In addition you will demonstrate experience in managing data quality project implementation as well as use of product data publication systems (ideally Stibo STEP). A good knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle would also be advantageous as well as advanced MS Office skills. What is critical is your experience of working with large data sets in complex technical product categories coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills. Without doubt you will be exceptionally numerate with strong analytical skills and highly structured thinking and ways of working.
