2 Procurement Officers required for 18 months for large public sector organisation in Glasgow.
Your new company
Well established public sector organisation are seeking 2 Procurement Officers on a fixed term basis for 18 months to join their procurement team.
Your new role
As Procurement Officer you will be responsible for supporting the Category Managers with a range of procurement services, developing specifications and arranging and managing contracts in line with the organisations goals.
You will provide specialist procurement advice and guidance across the organisation, manage procurement processes for contracts, process procurement requests and manage tendering, making recommendations to managers on vendor selection and so driving best value.
You will also be responsible for reviewing tender submissions, manage the evaluation of competitive quotations and support the development of vendor management across a range of categories.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have up to date procurement experience, public sector experience would beneficial but not essential.You will have good knowledge of the full procurement process and have strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
