A public sector organisation based in Bradford are recruiting for a procurement officer to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Reporting directly into the head of finance, you will be responsible for
- All procurement activities within the organisation
- Ensuring all compliance standard are met and delivering savings on purchased good and services
- Devise a pragmatic procurement strategy and contract management for services
- Being a professional lead on all procurement and contracted aspects of the organisations operation
What you'll need to succeed
you will ideally have a degree or professional qualification, relevant to the post. Be a member of or be willing to work towards membership of CIPS. You will ideally have 3 years experience within purchasing/procurement/ supply chain environment. Experience of managing and engaging with key and senior stakeholders. You will have experience of business negotiation and leading and managing a range of compliant procurement activities and drafting all associated tender and contract documentation to effectively manage commercial risks.
