Warren Services Ltd is an established and highly successful Engineering Manufacturing business based in Thetford, Norfolk. Due to continued growth of the business we have a permanent opportunity for a high caliber candidate in this broad and varied role encompassing all aspects of Procurement. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing and progressive organisation at an exciting time. The role will lead all procurement within an extremely busy manufacturing business.

Role: Procurement Manager

Reporting to: Managing Director

Required to:

Review and analyse spend on all standard materials, products and services and identify and deliver measurable savings through negotiation with new and existing suppliers

Plan the arrival of materials to meet sales and production demands

Lead, coach and further develop a team of staff to deliver affordable quality and continuous improvement

Control and management of:

Sourcing and pricing of materials, products and services and development of supplier partnerships

Planning, organising and monitoring of workload to ensure deadlines are met

Liaison with suppliers to ensure quality supply

Placement, acknowledgment and progression of orders

Entry of purchase requisitions and goods received onto system

Supplier Engagement and Assessment Policy and appraisal

Rejected material and return of goods

Resolution of invoicing queries

Continuous development and monitoring of KPIs

Extraction, manipulation and reporting of procurement data

Staff equipment register

All records pertaining to the above

Required attributes and skills:

Excellent communication skills at all levels through all media

Organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines, with a high level of accuracy and under own initiative

Able to take ownership of tasks through to resolution

Able to manage, mentor and guide others

Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience of high volume procurement in an engineering environment with familiarity of product and material specifications

Willingness to go above and beyond in busy project periods

CIPS qualification or working towards

Hours/Benefits;

8.30am - 5pm, 40 hours per week Mon-Fri

28 days holiday (incl. Bank Holidays of which 3 must be taken at the Christmas shutdown)
