THE COMPANY: A public sector organsiation based in Chesterfield is recruiting for a Procurement Manager.
THE JOB: This is a standalone position reporting to the Finance Director and you will act as a point of contact for all procurement and take responsibility for overseeing the procurement environment with a non-pay spend of over £10 million.
You will make sue that the organisation complies with all procurement legislation including EU tenders and the processes around this.
You will liaise with all budget holders directly and through collaboration, you will be involved in writing tenders and ensuring the organisation has a drive for value for money.
THE PERSON: You will need to have sound procurement experience gained ideally through commercial or public sector and be a capable communicator that can manage internal and external stakeholders.
You will be MCIPS or similar qualified and be au fait with negotiation and tracking records through achieving real savings.
You will have knowledge about EU procurement directives and framework agreements and a working knowledge of English contract Law and competition Law.
This is a great standalone position with autonomy and the ability to actively be involve in shaping the future of procurement within the organisation.
