About the Employer

London based transport provider

About the Role

• Reporting to the Head of Procurement.
• Responsible for making a major contribution to procurements achievements of its cost saving targets.
• Manage tendering processes
• Review and approve purchase orders over £10k
• Regularly attend stakeholder meetings and gain knowledge of requirements
• Coach and advise contract managers within the business and be point of contact for any issues that arise
• Manage Supplier accreditation process
• Ensure contracts are in place to cover key areas of business risk

Ideal Candidate

• Ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards it
• Five years + Procurement experience across a wide range of goods and services
• Knowledge of construction related procurement an advantage
• Significant experience in internal stakeholder management
• Good working knowledge of contract law
• Excellent negotiating skills
• Experienced in negotiating complex service contracts


Salary
£40,000-£50,000 depending on experience
