Your new business are a leading precision manufacturer with manufacturing facilities around the world. 

With a manufacturing facility in Eastbourne, your new role will take the lead for the strategic and tactical sourcing process and procurement activities in liaison with manufacturing, planning and engineering to acquire inventory and a timely and cost effective manner.

Your new role will directly manage a procurement team and will take responsibility for Global Sourcing and will be part of the site Operations Management team.

You will lead on developing a robust supply chain and will ensure a supplier/sub-contractor base that that has the capability of delivery high quality material, on-time and with cost effectiveness.  This supplier/sub-contractor base will further be capable of satisfying the needs of the organisations growth plans.

You will lead on supplier business reviews and will drive supplier performance improvement by developing and implementing a robust Lead Vendor score card programme.

Your new role will be responsible for leading on supplier agreement negotiations that delivery favourable terms and also mitigates risks to the business.

You will maintain flow of orders throughout the business to ensure that both customer and organisational commitments are met and you will also be responsible for attending daily Projects & Order Review meetings.

To be successful in this role you will have previous manufacturing experience as a Purchasing Manager or a Procurement Manager.  You will also have demonstrable experience of delivering an effective Supply Chain that delivers a continuous stream of On-Time, High Quality and Cost Effective material flow.

You will clearly demonstrate excellent engagement skills across a wide range of manufacturing, planning, operations and senior management teams.

You will be a credible individual with a strong background in process improvement, delivering cost efficiencies, improving OTIF and improving on quality.

You will be experienced in change management and will ideally have knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Project Management tools.
