Procurement Manager role with London based client supporting the Head of Supply Chain across all procurement.

My client are a London based joint-venture set up to facilitate and support with the improvement of the criminal system. They are a private sector organisation work towards reducing the cost of facilities maintenance serving a large range of government clients. They live and breathe by their core values and truly believe in increasing the quality whilst reducing the cost of multiple rehabilitation centres.
Your new role
As the Procurement Manager, you will support the Head of Supply Chain across a range of procurement and contract management activities. This includes developing flexible and efficient procurement strategies that deliver value for money and minimise business risks. This involves developing tender documentation and coordinate the tender and evaluation process. As the Procurement Manager you will advise and support the drafting and negotiating of contract terms and conditions and provide procurement advice to the business.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this Procurement Manager role you will have an awareness of contract terminologies and be able to implement supplier management agreements to get the most of your suppliers. You will have the ability to influence your stakeholders and suppliers alike to gain commercial advantage. For the various projects you will be working on you will be able to work independently and be able to proactively manage your own time. If you are CIPS qualified this will be advantageous but not a necessity.
