The Procurement Manager will manage the Procurement of Bought-In Goods for stock in line with business requirements, forecasts, customer demand and optimum stock holding. Based in Swanley, Kent

Client Details

Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of tableware, catering equipment, partyware & Christmas goods to both the catering and retail markets with a turnover of approximately £60 million. The majority of the company's products are manufactured and distributed from their site in Swanley, Kent.

Description

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for:

  • Procurement of bought-in products, transport, facilities and items not for re-sale
  • Negotiating price, specification, quantity, delivery and quality
  • Keeping up to date with market trends and developments
  • Sourcing new suppliers, materials and products
  • Creating and maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Managing the full product cycle from concept, pricing and costing, development and packaging through to OTIF arrival
  • Managing stock control of both finished goods & BOM components
  • Maintaining internal stakeholder relationships including manufacturing, warehousing, finance, costing departments and sales

The successful Procurement Manager will be able to demonstrate:

  • Commercial awareness
  • Experience in dealing with overseas suppliers
  • Proven track record in procurement of goods as opposed to procurement services
