Procurement Manager

Robertson Bell Procurement are recruiting for a Procurement Manager. We are partnering with a world leading developmental Research organisation based in Oxfordshire who have a newly created permanent opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join the team as they go through an exciting period of expansion.

The organisation has just been granted significant funding and need to expand the procurement function to cope with the demand. This project focused role will provide support to the senior procurement manager and department heads within the business units. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

*Coordination of procurement support to enable delivery of major projects
*The full management and control of the contractual progress of projects, with specific reference to contract terms and taking into consideration account time, cost and quality
*Assist the organisation in the formation, application and implementation of procurement strategy.
*Identification of improvement opportunities across the organisation
*Provide sound commercial information and advice to the Senior management team and key stakeholders within the business units
*Negotiate and influence internal and external customers and suppliers
*Provision of procurement leadership for the large procurement projects across the organisation.

In applying for this post you must be MCIPS qualified or working towards obtaining this qualification. Experience of public sector procurement, the use of OJEU and specifically NEC contracts is essential. The successful candidate will be forward facing, personable and able to negotiate at the highest level with suppliers.
