About the Role:

  • To account for, control and report on Prime costs for GB & Ireland, including looking for opportunities to improve existing systems and processes and assisting in Supply Chain initiatives.
  • The role has key touch points within GB&I Finance and Procurement, and more broadly with PLC and International.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate, control and account accurately for Primes spend and PPV each period for GB&I
  • Provide insight into price variance, understanding key drivers
  • Improve understanding of Other Prime Costs and drive process improvements where necessary
  • Business partner Procurement (PLC and GB&I)
  • Complete business case Primes costings
  • Feed into Risk and Ops process periodically
  • Continuously review and improve processes and reporting
  • Complete budgeting and forecasting process for Prime costs
  • Ensure that standard costs are accurate and updated in relevant systems in a timely fashion
  • Provide information / analysis to support PVO / NPD initiatives
  • Support IT projects and be a testing resource in accordance with pre-determined testing plans
  • Interact with external auditors on Primes cost queries
  • Undertake ad hoc duties & projects

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualified accountant or equivalent essential
  • Ability to influence essential
  • FMCG experience desirable
  • Supply Chain Finance experience desirable
