Interim Procurement Business Partner
Based: London
Length: 3 months
IR35 Status: Inside

One of our Local Authority clients is looking to recruit a Procurement Business Partner to join their Adults and Children's Directorate

Main responsibilities include:

  • Working with Strategic Directors and Business Managers to improve procurement within the department and council and to ensure that legislative requirements, corporate objectives and best value are successfully achieved
  • Facilitating major tenders and commissioning exercises
  • Providing sound and strategic procurement advice to the Adults and Children's Directorate
  • Category managing this area, whilst conducting spend analysis and identifying savings
  • Reporting into Head of Procurement
  • Complying with OJEU regulations, ensuring effective and competitive tendering


Key Skills and experience:

  • CIPS qualified
  • Background and hands on experience of OJEU processes and regulations
  • Experience of delivering significant cost reduction through use of appropriate sourcing, contract management and supplier management tools and techniques
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, including user requirements analysis, specifications, terms and conditions of contract, the tender cycle, evaluation procedures and contract formulation
  • Local government experience, within Adults and/or Children's Directorate
