The Procurement Business Partner will play a critical role in the implementation and embedding of the procurement strategy across the organisation to improve capabilities with respect to sourcing and on-going contract management of key suppliers. The key category you will be responsible for is IT with an annual spend c£20million.
Reporting into the head of Procurement and Contract Management, the Procurement Business Partner will work proactively with internal customers and key stakeholders across the IT spectrum to develop the annual procurement plan and deliver sourcing and contract management activities
The Procurement Business Partner is responsible for ensuring value for money and appropriate risk management across all procurement decision making including rolling out best practice contract management approaches to ensure continued focus on supplier relationship management, performance management and continuous improvement.
Other key activities for this role include embedding the Procurement Business partner role within the business and rolling out the contract management framework. Our client has a change roadmap of £60m over the next 3 years, therefore, the sourcing activity and the value that Procurement can bring to the organisation will be significant
To be successful in this role you will have the following:-
Educated to degree level and /or MCIPS qualified
Excellent Category and Contract Management skills preferably within the IT Category
Excellent Stakeholder management experience both internally and with external suppliers
Excellent Negotiation skills to enable a WIN:WIN situation for both parties
An outgoing personality and culture fit are a must for this organisation
