Procurement Business Manager required for Carmarthen based Public Sector employer
As a Procurement Business Manager you will proactively plan and manage allocated procurement work for specific customers ensuring compliance with Procurement and customer schedules. You will drive, manage and analyse comprehensive and complex data gathering on products and suppliers to support portfolio and category analysis, informing and presenting possible procurement options. Additionally, you will advise customers on procurement costs, with responsibility for purchasing goods/services for the relevant customer.
You will also ensure the implementation of procurement principles and practices and that contract management and supplier liaison is maintained. This will require ongoing discussions which are sensitive to organisational requirements ensuring suppliers fully understand the relevant technical complexities and legalities. This will also require the post holder to influence and educate customers.
