Process & Quality Manager Injection Moulding

This is a newly created operational role with a long established and highly successful manufacturing business in the plastic injection moulding sector. The Process & Quality Manager will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for all technical engineering processes. It is imperative that the successful applicant has an in depth knowledge of the plastic injection moulding manufacturing industry.
This truly unique opportunity offers unrivalled career progression and an opportunity to grow a team from 5 to circa 15 staff in the next 2 years. The Process & Quality manager will be expected to drive forwards lean processes and improve quality across the manufacturing division.

Key responsibilities:
To lead and manage a growing Mould Process Technical Team
Establish effective communication channels with the team and its
people to realise their knowledge and full potential and to make sure
that they are working to the same common business goals.
Continually develop and drive the Injection Tech team and setters to deliver best in class processes and standards.
Train and coach injection technicians and operators
Designs and justify new improvements and equipment to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
Develops the injection processes and systems ensuring a framework that will achieve top standards of quality
Analyses process failures
New projects launches.
Ensures quality standards are maintained by the Injection Tech team and wider business

Essential Requirements:
Management experience
Injection Moulding background
To have previous line management experience but also to be extremely hands on.
A strong appreciation and understanding of product costing, troubleshooting machines and ability to discuss and set improvements
