Process Improvement / Manufacturing Engineer

£33k - £37k & BUPA, excellent pension, excellent bonus, 24 day holiday

Cheshire

Overview:

So you're a Process Improvement Engineer (Manufacturing) who has strong commercial experience on top of your academic background, but feel you have hit a glass ceiling. You have a multitude of ideas you can bring in to reduce cost, improve production, reduce waste and such but can't seem to get them implemented and make the difference that you know you can. Sound familiar?

We are seeing this more and more and a lot of excellent talent being wasted in the manufacturing sector as a result. We can offer you an opportunity to come in to a company that really want to utilize your talent and join their manufacturing department, bring in your new ideas and look to improve their processes. They know their processes aren't perfect - whose are? - and they are constantly striving to improve them using both your commercial knowledge and your academic background.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an established Senior Manufacturing / Process Engineer (maybe someone who is looking to take a step in to a senior role as they are being held back where they are) who has a real hunger and desire to want to continue their personal development whilst having a real sense of autonomy in their role. You will have a track record of running projects around a manufacturing facility (sector isn't massively important) and using CI techniques (whether that be Kaizen, Poka-yoke, Kanban etc) with measurable results.

Ideally, you will be well educated (HND, Degree etc - ideally mechanically) but a mentality of someone who is not fulfilling their potential and wants to come in to a company that will help you do so. Someone who wants that Six Sigma Black belt, to learn more techniques and be in an environment where you can grow as professional. The role is within assembly and testing, so experience around this would be great too!

The company and culture:

These are a multinational company and world leaders in what they do / manufacture with sites all over the world. The product they manufacture go in to some of the world's most well-known and leading originations across the world, with real synergy with the automotive sector. Although they are worldwide, the UK part of the business looks after the European markets so it has the feel if a smaller company where you can really get things done, but with the financial backing and brand of a world leader - a very rare combination. They invest massively heavily in their staff and really believe in further education / further training as they see it will benefit both yourself and their manufacturing processes (which is rare these days).

Next steps…

So this sound like an opportunity and company that would interest you? Simply hit apply and we can go through this is much further detail…
