·Assess safety and environmental implications of engineering design.
·Process design development.
·Detailed equipment and valve calculations.
·Generation of CED EPCm equipment datasheets.
·Record changes to design documentation.
·Development of P&ID`s and PFD`s in accordance with CED EPCm procedures.
·Act as HAZOP team member or secretary.
·Carrying out literature searches.
·Assist in carrying out feasibility studies.
·Preparation of operating procedures.
·Preparation of control philosophy.
·Collating of design information.
·Liaison with equipment suppliers.
·Learn new processes and design techniques.
·Learn existing CED EPCm design techniques and procedures.
·Checking of graduate engineer design work.
·Manage small process engineering projects.
·Assisting with internal auditing.
·Financial responsibility for managing small process engineering projects (project value £250K, budget £10K).
·Direct decision making autonomy relating to process design work and day-to-day activities.
·85% utilisation rate.
·Manage time to ensure adequate delivery of deliverables set by project manager / line manager.
·Prioritise workloads effectively and efficiently.
·Full compliance with all applicable procedures including;
·Contributing to the achievement of KPI’s associated with the whole of CED EPCm across all projects and disciplines.
Commercial & Risk
·Inform project manager / line manager of potential project risks identified in a timely manner.
·Work within allocated CTR or man hours.
·Demonstrate clear understating of commercial status of projects.
·Work to agreed project plan and/or help develop project milestones.
·Support development of project risk register.
·Support in developing CTRs.
·Support in developing project programmes.

·Professional communication standard maintained at all times.
·Keeping the project manager fully informed on progress on project deliverables.
·Keep up-to-date with latest industry standards, technology and norms associated with Project Management within the Oil & Gas, Petrochem and Energy industrial sectors.
·Be familiar with all engineering software available at CED EPCm including the SmartPlant suite of engineering and design software.
·A good understanding of the availability and use of all electronic tools available to a project department (especially MS Project and MS Office suite of software).
·Ability to support project work under the leadership of senior/lead engineer and PM.
·Maintain and further develop technical ability.
·Act as an ambassador for CED EPCm, always presenting the right image to existing and potential clients.To attend meetings and forums, representing the Company.
·Assist in the estimating of process engineering work packages and development of proposals.
·Forge links and communication systems with clients and stakeholders.
·Achievement of KPI’s with regard to client type, industry sector and terms of engagement.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
·Degree in Chemical Engineering.
·3 years’ process engineering design experience.
·Good level of literacy and numeracy.
·Problem solving skills.
·Effective communication and time management.
·Ability to work as part of a team.
·Ability to ask Questions.
·Ability to manage draughtsman/CAD Operator.
