An interesting position has become available for a Process Engineer to work with an important Automotive Manufacturing company based in Swindon who are global leaders in their field

As Process Engineer you will be working on a permanent basis within the Die Casting Machining area of the Engine Plant. Based at the Swindon site, working within a team of 4 Process Engineers, the main purpose of your role will be to maintain the current quality and manufacturing conditions to secure production outputs.

Within this role you will have direct influence and involvement in overseeing the smooth and efficient running of a world class engine plant where petrol and diesel combustion engines are produced.

This role will also offer you the opportunity to work on the most up to date advanced manufacturing tool machinery.

Your expertise may be called upon outside of core hours should a production issue occur, therefore flexibility is a must.

Main Responsibilities

*Ensuring machine process installations and reliability
*Investigating process issues and creating corrective countermeasures
*Monitoring uptime and line output performance
*Monitoring tact time and production line efficiency
*Supporting the introduction of new model
*Investigating machine tool manufacturing methods
To be considered for the position of Process Engineer you must have/be:

*Apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
*Strong knowledge of CNC Machines
*Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
*Experience in supervision of contractors
*Confident in presenting technical information to a non-technical audience
*Ability to set a structured plan for process improvements
*Fully competent with Microsoft tools (Excel/Power Point)

It Would Be a Distinct Advantage If You Have

Strong Project Management experience
Toolmaking experience or qualification would be highly advantageous
