Private client tax compliance managers are still very much sought after, and this opportunity is no exception. Compliance is valued highly in this firm, as they understand the importance of all the intricacies required in order to provide a 360 degree service, and so this is an opportunity for an exciting and progressive career in compliance within a Big 4.

I have been instructed by a Big 4 firm to source a private client tax compliance manager who will be responsible for the review and delivery of c. 70 complex tax returns of a sophisticated client base. The opportunity will sit within the client service advisory team, based in London, and this role will lead the compliance relationship with direct client contact.

The private client tax compliance manager will also oversee and be responsible for c.200 returns for the client service team which will be prepared in the tax compliance centre based outside of London.

In addition to the compliance elements mentioned, it is intended that the role will progress and that the private client tax compliance manager will eventually grow to lead a team supporting other matters such as ATED and IHT returns. There will also be the expectation to advise and fulfil on any disclosure requirements as necessary.

The role would suit someone with a track record in preparation and review of private client tax returns, with particular focus on complex individual matters, inclusive of non-domiciliaries, general offshore matters, and other complex private client issues.

Benefits of the role:

  • Great career opportunity for a private client compliance tax manager
  • Be a key member of the London team
  • Possibility to take part in ad-hoc advisory projects in quieter periods, however, no obligation to do so
  • The firm is very flexible in working arrangements and will offer part time options, as well as encouraging working from home at least once a week
  • If pure compliance is the preference, there is the possibility of working compressed annualised hours
  • Supportive and encouraging firm with real career prospects

This role is a great and rare opportunity and the client is looking to recruit as a matter of urgency, so do not delay in expressing interest.
