TPF Recruitment is delighted to be representing a prestigious client located in Haywards Heath, Sussex, in their search for a Personal Tax Assistant Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Personal Tax Senior ready to advance into their first assistant manager role, or for an experienced Assistant Manager seeking a fresh challenge and a new environment. Our client is a large, independent organization with an impressive growth plan to expand their business further, making this an exciting time to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction. Handle client queries and provide expert advice on personal tax matters.

  • Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of self-assessment tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.

  • Advisory Services: Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and advising on the implications of tax legislation.

  • Team Supervision: Support the Tax Manager in supervising and mentoring junior staff members. Review work completed by junior team members, providing feedback and guidance to ensure high standards of work.

  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest tax legislation and developments. Share knowledge with the team and clients, ensuring they are informed of any changes that may impact their tax position.

  • Workflow Management: Assist in managing the workflow within the team, ensuring that all deadlines are met and work is completed efficiently and accurately.

  • Business Development: Support the firm’s growth by identifying new business opportunities and participating in business development activities.


Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a personal tax role, ideally at a senior or assistant manager level.
  • Qualifications: ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of personal tax and compliance. Excellent client management skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well within a team, mentoring junior staff and contributing to the overall success of the team.
  • Proactive: A proactive approach to work, with the ability to identify opportunities for clients and the business.
