Principal / Associate Electrical Design Engineer

Our Client is a unique, dynamic and progressive building services consultancy that was formally established in 2014. Now in their 5th year of trading, the founding partners and team have been reunited having worked together for the last two decades in numerous leading engineering practices, now empowered to create their own legacy and brand.

Since its conception, the business has delivered projects for a diverse spectrum of clients across sectors including residential, commercial, leisure, healthcare, education and major events. As a direct result of client recommendation, the company has grown at an unprecedented rate and now operates from London and Leeds, covering work nationally and internationally. Their approach to every project stems from the belief that every building is a place to live, work, socialise, retreat, holiday and enjoy. Bringing buildings to life, providing comfortable spaces that both perform and remain sustainable, remains at the forefront of every scheme.

Recruitment is a top priority, supporting growth at a time of both expansion and opportunity. This strategy now needs to be backed up with high quality hires, with the addition of a Principal/Associate Electrical Engineer to take a leading role in the Leeds design team, viewed a key strategic position. With a small but talented electrical design team already in place in Leeds, the appointed individual will be tasked with leading projects, managing client expectations, mentoring junior consultants and assisting in the smooth running of a busy engineering practice.

Applications are invited from talented Electrical Building Services Design Engineers, keen to work in a fast paced dynamic environment where everyone in the team, including the directors delivers projects. A genuine passion for engineering is a must, championing high standards and challenging the boundaries of what can be done, not just repeating what has been achieved previously.

The opportunity to join a practice at this level is becoming increasingly rare, with leaner management structures in operation across many businesses. At an exciting time of growth, this position offers a genuine path to progression for an ambitious Engineer looking to fast track through into management and take on more senior duties.

The business operates industry standard software and applicants will be expected to be familiar with the likes of Hevacomp, Amtech, Relux, Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
