Prospero Teaching are looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a school based in Southampton from April 2018. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a difference to children within education.
About the Primary Teaching Assistant role:
Part-Time position to start in April 2018
The school is happy to consider Job Share for the ideal Teaching Assistants.
Working mainly with Key Stage 2, however may be needed for support in Key Stage 1.
Supporting the class teachers with more challenging individuals.
Helping with pupils attainment while maintaining participation.
Possibility of 1:1 work with SEND individuals.
The Successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have/be:
Experience helping across the primary age range / curricular.
Able to work in partnership with all staff.
Drive and determination for individual achievements.
Flexible enough to help with lunchtime supervision team.
Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
Excited and inspired by their work while committed to developing children as thinkers.
To be Eligible the Primary Teaching Assistant:
Have a minimum of grade C GCSE in English and Maths or an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
Be a flexible team player with excellent communication skills.
Be able to provide two professional references that cover the last two years of employment.
Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
An enhanced DBS certificate, that is registered on the Update Service, or be willing to complete one.
