The position is for a Full Time, Long Term Teacher who would be paid to the Main Pay Scale (via daily rate). The school is based in Newham, East London and has practical transport links from South, Central, North and East London.
The Resource provision is one of 3 in the borough that has places for 14 children who have Social and Emotional Special Needs. The children are part of their class and additional curriculum activities specific to the child's needs are offered by a team of trained support staff and qualified teachers. Children work 1:1 or in small groups within their whole class. They have access to the national curriculum whilst their individual education plan addresses their specific requirements.
The Teacher we require should have:
*Experience working with Special Educational Needs (preferably autism or social and emotional needs)
*Experience in and writing IEP's
*Subject knowledge of Ks1 and Ks2
*Must be Caring, Adaptable and highly intuitive
The Teacher will be required to teach students who are on Ks1 and Ks2 on the national curriculum across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
The school is in Newham, there is a good number of local transport services that run to the school including the Overground, Victoria Line and buses. The school are equipped with sensory rooms, communication products and lots of outdoor spaces for pupils.
