We are working with a large special educational needs school. All pupils currently on role have a statement of special educational needs or an Education Health and Care Plan. The School offer places across two sites for children with physical difficulties, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, autistic spectrum condition, specific communication difficulties, visual impairment, hearing impairment and multi-sensory impairment.

The Head teacher is looking for a teacher who has: Previous SEN experience working with severe/profound learning needs and challenging behaviours, the right teacher also has to be comfortable with personal care as over 50% of the children within this school require 2:1 and personal care.

As staff member of the school you can expect: A wide range of therapists who provide support for pupils and expert guidance for staff including speech and language, occupational, art, music, play therapy and psycho therapeutic counselling. Small class sizes with a high level of TA/Support Staff a very supportive Head teacher and Senior Leadership Team.

The successful teacher will:
*Hold QTS (or equivalent qualifications to teach)
*Get the opportunity to attend over 25 FREE CPD courses
*Enjoy the challenge of working with young people within a SEN environment
*Work well within a team and be supportive to colleagues
*Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get a new one through Tradewind at a cost of £52.50 (You will get this back after 20 days of working with us)
