We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Primary Mental Health Workers to join the CAMHS Team covering Kintyre.

The Primary Mental Health Worker role is to create and provide a locality based, accessible, flexible and user friendly service. The main focus of the work will be to provide direct clinical input aimed at addressing children and young people’s mental health needs, coupled with consultation and training to professionals regarding young people’s mental health.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is able to work independently and flexibly. The post holder must have a relevant professional qualification, experience of working with children and young peoples mental health difficulties and knowledge of systems theory, child development and therapeutic interventions appropriate to addressing the mental health needs of young people and their families. Some prior experience of delivering training and consultation would be preferable.

It would be expected that the post holder will develop strong links with education staff and locally based services.

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Argyll & Bute to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
