Reed/LTA are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a central based primary school in Fleetwood, working in classes across EYFS to KS2. This part-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute significantly to the educational development of children.

The position is to start April up until the end of the summer term.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the teaching staff in planning and delivering educational activities.
  • Working directly in key stages with all children, providing both group and one-on-one support.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and the setup of the learning environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a constructive learning atmosphere.
  • Step in for teachers as needed to lead lessons and manage the classroom.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the educational needs of key stages within primary. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom activities and engage children effectively.
  • Flexibility and creativity in educational methods.
  • Commitment to professional development and learning.
