Press/Progression Toolmaker

Our client are a renowned industry specialising in the design, build an manufacture of both precision press tools and components for numerous industries including automotive, aerospace, medical, IT etc. They require an experienced Press/Progression Toolmaker for their busy operations.

Day to day duties will include the following:

To build, repair and maintain complex multi stage progression press tools to fine tolernaces (Essential)

Producing new tools, repairs and maintenance to pre determined standard times and estimates (Essential)

Use recognised problem solving techniques to analyse tool problems, strip and rebuild of tools for maintenance / repair and re grind (Essential)

Analyse and action of tooling problems in production (Essential)

Management of the tool tryout process (Essential)

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:

Previous experience of toolmaking experience on press tooling (Essential)

Previous experience of working with Tungsten Carbide tooling (Advantageous)

Apprentice trained (Essential)

Good communication skills and team player (Essential)

Ability to read and translate technical drawings (Essential)
